Taste a mixture of fascinating history and allow yourself to indulge in the pleasures of the renowned Cape Winelands. You will visit selected wine estates on the 3 main wine routes, the legendary Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl. We have set our criteria for selection of wine estates, high standards of winemaking, historical and architectural significance, picturesque environment and visitor friendliness.

Itinerary

Depart from Cape Town city centre and head to the Cape Winelands. You will visit selected wine estates on the 3 main wine routes Enjoy an unforgettable day with us on the ultimate Winelands experience.

You are given the opportunity to partake in a tour of a wine cellar to view the winemaking process.

Highlights:
  • We head north to Paarl
  • At our first stop we experience a cellar tour followed by a cheese and wine tasting
  • We continue to Franschhoek with a photo stop at the Groot Drakenstein Prison where Nelson Mandela was released in February 1990
  • A short tour of the little town and a second wine tasting in Franschhoek
  • Lunch stop (optional – own account)
  • After lunch we continue to Stellenbosch where your guide will point out historic buildings and tell you interesting facts
  • Time permitting, we will include a third wine tasting before returning to your hotel

Cellar Tour: Pax are given the opportunity to partake in a tour of a wine cellar to view the winemaking process.
Lunch: Not included in our rates. An amount of R120 is a reasonable restaurant lunch allowance if you wish to include lunch with your package. There are cheaper alternatives for guests who wish to have light snacks only.
Wine Purchases: Wine can be purchased directly from the wine estates. Some Estates will assist by shipping wine overseas to guest's home address.

Cancellation policy:
If cancellation is received less than 7 days prior to travel dates, 100% cancellation will be charged

Child policy:
All children 12 years and older will be charged the adult fare
Children 11 years and younger will be charged 50% of the adult price
