MSC Musica

Welcoming the MSC Musica for our local 2018/19 Season!

msc musica

MSC Musica
is coming to South Africa on the 8th of November 2018. Click here to see cruise schedule

As MSC Sinfonia leaves our shores for the final time, she makes way for the grand entrance of the majestic MSC Musica to South Africa in November 2018.

Larger than MSC Sinfonia, MSC Musica is a sophisticated world of choice.

Passengers will love that the new ship promises more space, that there are more balcony cabins, more swimming pools, more restaurants (there's even a sushi restaurant), more bars and designer venues.

And how could they not love the glamorous finishing touches like the central foyer's see-through piano floating suspended above shimmering water, the palm-lined swimming pool and the theatre that's bigger than any we have on land in SA. Let's also not forget the full gym, or the pampering Turkish baths and saunas.

There's more for the kids too. A LED wall, a video games room, and outdoor games like mini golf, tennis and volleyball. They even have a swimming pool to call their own. The elegant MSC Musica, with all her superlative choices in wining, dining, shopping, and entertainment for young and old, promises that life on board can be exactly what you want it to be.

Most recently refurbished in 2016 (it debuted in 2006), the MSC Musica welcomes up to 3,223 guests and 1,014 staff members. Since the ship features a 1-to-3 crew-to-guest ratio, some recent cruisers said they experienced inconsistent service.

MSC Musica not only launched a new class of ecological cruise ship, she launched a new class of cruise - a spacious world of graceful lines and superlative choice, enriched by the creativity, fine natural materials and attention to detail that have always distinguished MSC Cruises. Life aboard is beautiful from the moment you step on board; from the central foyer’s three-tier waterfall to its see-through piano, floating suspended on a crystal floor above a pool of shimmering water. The designer venues on board are equally inspiring, whether you’re dancing to a band in the dazzling Crystal Lounge, pausing in the stylish Havana Club cigar lounge, treating yourself to a wine tasting, gaming in the Sanremo Casino or sitting back to a superb live show in the stunning La Scala Theatre.

The delightfully varied cuisine on this beautiful ship excels - all freshly prepared in the traditional manner from prime ingredients. Indulge in succulent Italian gourmet specialties in Il Giardino, treat yourself to the Kaito Sushi Bar, or explore a luscious array of authentic Italian pizzas. Children and young adults enjoy the special treatment typical of MSC’s Mediterranean way of life, with indoor and outdoor play amenities, a pool of their own and separate Kids and Teens Clubs for a vibrant social life on board.
Step aboard MSC Musica and experience a magical world of warmth and music that makes every minute of your cruise an unforgettable moment to savour.

Children are more than welcome onboard MSC Cruises. In fact, during many promotional periods the cruise line lets 11-year-olds and younger sail for free, as long as they are staying in a stateroom with two adults (check with your cruise consultant for availability). Onboard there are lots of supervised activities like tournaments, treasure hunts and crafts for children ages 3 to 17.

  • My Teen Card
Give your teenager aged 12 to 17 some independence when you get them a My Teen Card, which allows them to make pre-paid purchases on their room key.

Children aged 3 to 11 can have dinner with the entertainment staff in the buffet restaurant and then adjourn to the Mini and Junior Club while parents enjoy a romantic adult dinner.
  • Happy Dinners
During MSC Cruises’ Happy Dinners, parents and their children eat together before the children are taken to the Mini and Junior Club, allowing parents to finish their meals without their children.
