For those that want to slow down the pace and spend the day absorbing their surroundings, book yourself on a relaxed meander through the winelands. Our knowledgeable guides will inform riders on how South Africa’s oldest wine route developed along the famed Eerste River. Guests will cycle through the vineyards and look over the Stellenbosch Valley whilst they learn about wine making and culture of the region.
During this day, you will visit three wines estates in Stellenbosch where you’ll taste some award-winning wines, which are also available for sale. This tour includes the fully guided tour, bike and helmet rental, a snack pack, bottled water and all wine tastings en route. Slow down and smell the roses on our Vineyard Meander, a relaxed, six-hour cycle tour through three picturesque wine estates in the Stellenbosch wine region. Take in the peaceful ambience of the vineyards and the breathtaking views of the Helderberg Moutains while you enjoy this gentle ride through the estates, stopping along the way for lunch, a la carte style, at one of the three farms. The meeting time at Bikes Boutique (32 Loop Street, Cape Town) is 09h00 OR if you wish to self-drive. Asara Hotel the meeting time is 10h00. The 1 hour train ride from Cape Town'' city centre - departs from Cape Town station and arrives at the Lynedoch School & Eco-Village just before the Spier Wine Estate. Here, tourists will collect their bicycles and begin cycling a pre-defined route, led by their tour guide. The tour will consist of tasting at 2 wine farms and 1 brandy distillery with a stop for lunch in-between. Lunch is not included, but you will be provided with a snack pack to keep you going along the way. The total distance of the tour will span approx. 12km and will be a full-day tour. The cycling is casual and doesn't require spectacular Lance Armstrong fitness levels! The tour then returns to the Eco-Village where the bikes are returned and guests then make their way back to Cape Town on the train. Included:

The safety of our cyclists is of utmost importance to us and great care will be taken to ensure that each cyclist is kept safe and that all equipment is well maintained and in a good working condition. Clients will be required to complete a comprehensive indemnity form and our clients only travel on Metro Plus (first class train seats) and are accompanied by two trained guides at all times.
