Vintage Sidecar Peninsula Tour, Cape Town | Have your breath taken away in a vintage World War II sidecar touring the scenic Cape Peninsula and enjoy an unforgettable day with us on the ultimate touring experience. This is an excellent way for visitors to the city to orientate themselves.
At the Cape Peninsula’s most southerly tip, the majestic Cape Point Nature Reserve, now referred to as the Table Mountain National Park, lies waiting to be explored.
Enjoy a spectacular tour to the Cape Point Nature Reserve and explore this incredible natural haven, up close and personal on a vintage sidecar and at a reasonable pace. This one day Peninsula tour provides you with a unique opportunity to encounter the natural fynbos of Cape Town, the indigenous wildlife and of course the breathtaking scenery. Cape Point is home to more than 250 bird species and more than 1100 species of flora. Needless to say, it is a nature lovers paradise.
The bike takes two passengers, one behind the driver/guide as pillion passenger and one in the sidecar. The sidecar motorcycle provides an ideal circle of privacy and dialogue between the driver/guide and the passengers: you will talk, watch and learn while having fun on the road.
Sidecar trips make for interesting, adventurous and fun outings. This activity comes highly recommended for those who would like to relax and sit back and enjoy the magnificent scenery Cape Town has to offer.
Depart from Cape Town around the back of Table Mountain & head through the beautiful suburbs of Newlands, Constantia & Bishopscourt towards the eastern-seaboard of the Peninsula.
At the False Bay coastline, travel through Muizenberg and Simonstown with a stop at Boulder's Beach to visit the Penguin Colony. After the penguins, head past the Cape Point Nature Reserve (Optional lunch stop) and onto the seaside villages of Scarborough and Kommetjie.
From Kommetjie onto Noordhoek and then marvel as you travel through the Chapman's Peak coastal Drive. This section is subject to the road being open. The alternative is over Ou Kaapse Weg and through the Constantia Valley to reach the coast again at Hout Bay.
The final leg of the tour leaves Hout Bay along the Atlantic Seaboard to Camps Bay, Clifton and Bantry Bay and then into the city of Cape Town.
