A new series of summer concerts is set to take place in De Waal Park, starting Sunday 27 November 2011. The concerts, free to the public, will be on every other Sunday afternoon at 3pm.

Thirty-five thousand cyclists embark on arguably the most scenic cycling race in the world. Thousands of supporters line the streets to cheer on both the professional and the amateur cyclists.
Cape Town International Jazz Festival 2012
Place: Cape Town International Convention Centre (30 Mar 2012 - 31 Mar 2012)Africa's Grandest Gathering, will celebrate its 13th year when it opens on Friday 30 March and Saturday 31 March 2012 at Cape Towns International Convention Centre. Once again jazz lovers will be thrilled at the Cape Town International Jazz with world class music.
Cape Town International Jazz Festival grows each and every year. Attendance figures have increased from the initial 14 000 to 34 000 jazz lovers in 2011. The jazz festival’s winning formula brings more than 40 international and local jazz artists to perform over two days on five different stages. It has earned its status of being the most prestigious event in Africa.

This is by far the most scenic ultra-marathon in the world. It's also one of the toughest, with the route taking runners over the gruelling Chapman's Peak and Constantia Nek. Even if you don't harbour any ambitions of running 56km, there's a great vibe amongst the spectators lining the course in support.

The Carnival begins on New Year's Day with extravagant street parades with colourful costume competitions and marches through the city streets from District Six. The Cape Minstrel Carnival or Kaapse Klopse is the Mother Ciity’s longest-running street party with bright colours everywhere in town and townships - lasting for the entire month of January!

The stage is set for a record day in every respect when the gates open at Kenilworth Racecourse in Cape Town on Saturday morning, January 19th, for one of South Africa’s biggest summer racing, fashion and entertainment occasions, and Africa’s hottest horseracing event the R2.5-million, Grade 1 J&B Met.
With an expected crowd of at least 50 000, the demand for space is always exceptional. Facilities include a 5 000 capacity marquee village and 184 picnic sites. Head on over to the J&B Met to see and be seen and perhaps, place a bet or two!
