Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative:
The Glen Boutique Hotel has recently installed solar panels that heat the entire water needs of the hotel including the pool. They re-use scrap paper and wood as much as possible and although it is often impractical to reuse many items, they always searching for new ideas. The Glen stationary requirements are also obtained from recycled paper cups. In their commitment to saving energy, all their bulbs are LED or low energy bulbs. Many of their showers are fitted with water saving heads whilst still providing a soothing showering environment.
