Sustainability
This accommodation provider has taken action to address one or more issues (whether environmental, social or cultural) which will contribute positively to the long term viability of the destination and hence their site displays a Caring for the destination rating.
Main area of focus in Caring for the Destination:
Across the board, the hotels in this group are striving to be as environmentally friendly as possible, without sacrificing the comfort of guest. At the Fountains Hotel, they have been making a contribution towards a clearner, safer and more sustainable planet by educating all members of the staff about working ‘greener’, by introducing energy saving devices, water conservation methods, as well as by employing cleaner production.
The hotels further prevent, reduce or mitigate harmful effects of operations on humans, animals and natural resources by only using environmentally friendly products. They minimise waste by recycling. The hotels also encourage their suppliers and contractors to apply similar environmentally friendly standards. Green policies are monitored regularly to see where improvement can be made.
