The 5 star graded Steenberg Hotel & Winery buildings, dating back to 1682, were painstakingly restored and have been declared a National Monument. Here the legendary elegance and traditions of the 17th century blend harmoniously with the most refined luxuries and conveniences of our modern age.
The estate boasts its own world reknowned, working winery, which produces a selection of award winning fine wines. Guided tours and wine tasting are available on request. For the keen golfer, an 18 hole championship golf course also forms part of this prestigious estate. The original winery, dating back to the 1700's, provides the setting for Catharina's Restaurant at Steenberg. European style decor incorporates all the historical architectural features of the old winery.

- A maximum of one (1) child under 3 years sharing in a Superior room (cot).
- A maximum of two (2) children under the age of 12 years sharing with their parents in the Family Suite, Room 14 (pull-out double couch/mattress/cot) in the separate lounge area, which has a second bathroom for the children.
- A maximum of two (2) children under the age of 12 years sharing with their parents in the Family Suite, Room 25 (which has 2 bedrooms with one bathroom en suite to the Main bedroom).
- Children over the age of twelve (12) years will require a separate room.
