From the creative brief of ‘where classic elegance meets contemporary design’, every effort has been made to ensure that the 35-room Queen Victoria Hotel is a haven of calm, luxury and understated opulence amid the hustle and bustle of Cape Town’s popular V&A Waterfront.
The interiors create an ambience of peaceful elegance, through the use of greys and taupes, marble-clad walls, crystal chandeliers, white marble and wooden parquet flooring, not to mention the triple-volume foyer with its dramatic white spiral staircase, glass lift and crystal chandeliers. The signature shade of deep purple has been employed to add a touch of regal eccentricity as an ode to the historic figure after whom the hotel is named.
From the food and beverage offering at the hotel’s restaurant and bar, Dash, to the interior aesthetic, the Queen Victoria Hotel embodies a sense of international flair fused with local flavour. The menu at Dash is structured around classic French cuisine, with all ingredients sourced locally and seasonally, while ninety per cent of the interior pieces were sourced from local design geniuses.

Dash Restaurant & Bar
Dash is the restaurant and bar offering at the Queen Victoria Hotel, named after the Queen’s favourite pet. There is nothing cute about this space, however. On the contrary it is the ultimate in sophisticated fine dining. Pioneered by highly acclaimed executive chef, Stephen Templeton, the 40-seat Dash offers patrons an elegant yet relaxed experience with a touch of drama in the presentation of his well-crafted menu. Taking his cue from the basis of all contemporary cuisine, a classic French style, Stephen focuses on the unique flavours of each ingredient, which, except for the caviar, are all sourced locally.
Situated next door to Dock House Boutique Hotel & Spa, guests at the Queen Victoria Hotel have effortless admission to the finest of Newmark Hotels’ portfolio: Elements Spa and pool at Dock House Boutique Hotel, breakfast, lunch or dinner at the Victoria & Alfred Hotel’s fine-dining OYO Restaurant & Cocktail Bar, as well as its conferencing and banqueting facility, The Forum. There is also the 35-metre luxury yacht, The Nautilus, which is managed by Newmark Hotels and provides various charter options for guests. Policies and Other Information
Subject to availability, the hotel will endeavour to accommodate late departures without an additional charge. If however, there is limited availability, an additional room charge will be levied for occupancy up to 14h00, after which an additional night's charge will be levied.
Children policy:

- Children under 2 years of age sharing with adults are accommodated on a complimentary basis
- Children over the age of 2 and under 12 (maximum 1) per room sharing with adults, pay the children under 12 rate - basis
- We recommend that children over the age of 16 be accommodated in a separate room – inter-leading rooms are available on request in writing

• A deposit of 20% will secure your reservation
• Deposits are non- refundable
• Balance of accommodation account is payable 4 weeks prior to date of arrival
• Minimum of 5 night stay over the period 20 Dec- 2 Jan
Cancellation Policy
• Cancellation within 30 days of arrival 100% of accommodation payable
• In the event of premature departure the full extent of accommodation as originally booked and confirmed will be charged
• Refunds and the waiver of the cancellation policy are at the discretion of management and the ability to re-let the room.
