Liberty Lodge's four luxury bedrooms have all been individually decorated with great style and comfort in mind. Each room is named after an important figure from South African history and has its own distinctive character:

Madiba Room

Madiba is the affectionate name for South Africa's most esteemed individual; Nelson Mandela. This delightful first floor room incorporates African chic, with carved wood headboard, zebra skin rug and traditional woodcut artworks. Direct access to the communal sun and viewing terrace is a wonderful extension to your living space. You can choose between a king size bed or twin beds, with an en-suite shower bathroom.

Ghandi Room

The restful colours of the linen curtains and panama-weave headboard are used to great effect on the walls painted in wide stripes. Ghandi spent 21 years in South Africa and elements from India are incorporated to honour him. This upstairs room has direct access to the communal sun terrace with expansive views of the mountain and city. This room has a king size or twin beds and en-suite shower bathroom.

Rhodes Room

The largest room on the first floor - favoured by honeymoon couples - reflects the turn of the 20th century colonial era; crisp white linen against dark wood, old hatboxes and black and white African images. You have a wonderful view of Table Mountain from this room and indirect access to the communal terrace. King or twin beds are offered and en-suite shower facilities.

Kipling Room

In this ground floor room we reflect the discerning period in the early 1900s, when Rudyard Kipling wintered in Cape Town. It incorporates elegant shades of Africa, from beige and black to dusty reds and ochre, and dramatic oryx horns and wall-mounted zebra skin. This room has an extended queen-size bed and en-suite bathroom with shower over bath. The communal upstairs terrace is available to guests of this room.
