Becoming well known as the St Tropez of South Africa Paternoster stays a charming old fishermen's village along the West Coast, just a casual 1,5 hours drive North of Cape Town, where past and present meet. From Cape Town(approx 120km):

Take the R 27 from Cape Town (West Coast Road) approx 120 km, after a little bridge turn left direction Vredenburg, follow the road, drive through Vredenburg, from there it is another approx. 15 km to Paternoster. Just before Paternoster when you come over the hill to see the sea, you will notice also on the left side the smallholding area "Pelgrimsrust". Turn left in there by the entrance walls and follow the road. After approx 200m turn left and follow the circle. You will find the entrance of Farr Out almost at the top in a 90 degree bend; turn in by the entrance walls of Farr Out and after approx 200 m of a crunching driveway you will be at your place to stay.

From Malmesbury (approx. 80 km):

Turn in Malmesbury from N7 onto R 45. Cross R 27 direction Vredenburg then follow the road, drive through Vredenburg, from there it is another approx. 15 km to Paternoster. Just before Paternoster when you come over the hill to see the sea, you will also see to the left side the smallholdings of "Pelgrimsrust". Turn left and follow the road. After approx 200m turn left and follow the signboard. You will find Farr Out at the top of the hill. Follow the shell pathway and after another approx 200 m you will be at your destination.

From St Helena Bay (approx. 15 km):

Follow the dirt road to Paternoster, turn left at the end towards Vredenburg (the sport field is on your right), after approx. 200m turn right into the smallholdings of "Pelgrimsrust". After approx 200m turn left and follow the signboard. You will find Farr Out at the top of the hill. Follow the shell pathway and after another approx 200 m you will be at your destination
