The approach to Chartfield is best if driving via Boyes Drive and into Anderson which is a cobbled street. Follow the signs to Chartfield which is at number 30 Gatesville Road

From the Airport:

Kalk Bay is easy to get to whether by car or public transport. From the airport follow the N2 towards Cape Town and when you see an exit for the M3 southbound, take it. Follow the M3 into the M4 or as we know it the Main Road. From Muizenberg the road hugs the coast. Pass St James and as you approach Kalk Bay and pass the railway station, turn right into Belmont and at the T junction turn left into Gatesville Road. Chartfield will be on your left, number 30.

Or if you prefer the scenic route, take Boyes Drive from just before Muizenberg to Kalk Bay - this is an excellent location to whale spot from as well. As you decend into Kalk Bay on Boyes Drive as the road turns sharp left, the 1st road you see will be Anderson. Turn left into Anderson and follow the cobbled road. You will see the sign the Chartfield at the end of the road veer left into Gatesville Road. Chartfiled will be on your right a few 100 metres down. If you get lost, ask a friendly local.
