The Cape Cadogan is a stately double-storeyed Georgian and Victorian building that dates back to the beginning of the 19th century. It was originally a farmhouse which was ‘Victorianised’ in 1912 and declared a national monument in 1984.
This boutique hotel is well known for its comfortable, luxurious atmosphere. The reception areas are individually decorated and designed for comfort and tranquillity. It is themed on the Irish literary figure Oscar Wilde who was renowned for his bohemian lifestyle throughout Europe and New York during the latter part of the 19th century.
The public areas comprise a comfortable lounge with an open fireplace, a garden and pool area, and a library where you can relax and read or research your itinerary from the computer terminal provided for your convenience
Next door the Villa is a private space which has recently been opened to select guests and friends of the Owner. The space includes an open plan lounge, dining area and full service modern kitchen. These spaces open up with wide double framed doors onto an outdoor deck area where comfortable lounges lie around the private plunge pool.

The Petit Standard rooms are available to guests as day usage rooms at a discounted rate of 50% off. These rooms are subject to availability.
Children policy:
We regret that the hotel is unable to accommodate children under the age of 12 years in the hotel. Please note that the hotel does not have any triple, family, interleading or quad rooms.
Owners Villa - A cot is available for guests who are travelling with an infant. The cost for cot hire is ZAR 175.00 per day. We accept a maximum of 2 adults and 1 cot in the Owner's Villa. Please also note that if an infant is staying in the villa, the family will be served breakfast in the Owner's Villa.
