Atlantic Affair Boutique Lodge
Sustainability
Natasha and Desi have been with the hotel since it opened in 2008 and both of them enthusiastically declare that customer service is their utmost priority, and are always ready to go out of their way for anything that a guest might need. Ask them about the best overbooked restaurants in town and they will find you a table. Make also sure you ask for a free drink every time you see them at the hotel reception.
Caring for destination
This accommodation provider has taken action to address one or more issues (whether environmental, social or cultural) which will contribute positively to the long term viability of the destination and hence their site displays a Caring for the destination rating.
Main area of focus in Caring for the Destination:
Before embarking on this hotel project a location in Sea Point was selceted which was a bit neglected with the idea to uplift the area and the street altogether; renovated an existing derelict building and converted it into a four star property which uplifted the area and contributes for the overall upkeep of the street.
Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative:
The hotel has a recycling system in place about which they make their guests aware in order to encourage them to recycle as well; they maintain the street clean (providing wages to street sweepers) to ensure that the area is kept clean and the hotel actively promote Sea Point as a safe and bustling area which can be enjoyed and explored on foot day or night.
